I've talked about this list a couple times and each time I get a response. This is NOT a directive. It is encouragement for how we can get caught up in some things that prevent us from being or going where God might lead us.

Things To Stop That Will Lead To Better Life

    1. Trying to please everyone --- You can't do it and it causes compromise

    2.  Fearing change ---  Change is going to happen. Embrace and navigate through the change with the help of the Holy Spirit

    3.  Living in the past --- A glance is okay to see how far you've come, but don't dwell there.

    4.  Putting yourself down --- Even self deprecating humor is unhealthy. See yourself as God sees you...beloved.

    5.  Overthinking --- That leads to second guessing instead of relying on instinct and God's direction.

These are just some examples of why we should stop doing these things. One day at a time...one step at a time. Allow God to move and work in and through you.

I heard this analogy in Church last weekend and it came alive in my mind and heart. You may or may not have heard it before, but it's a great reminder when we are living our everyday life.

God says He wants all of who we are and what we do. So in essence He's telling us He wants to be the center of our life.

He doesn't want to be a spoke in our wheel or a slice in our pie or pizza.

It's the center...He wants to be the hub in our wheel of life. Or the center of our pizza. So wherever a slice of the pie or spoke in our wheel of life goes...He is the center.

May you let Him be the center of your pie or hub of your wheel today. Involve Him in everything you do!! Everything!

    Ephesians 4: 21 - 24

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God-truly righteous and holy.

The Bible says we were created for a purpose. I love the definition of purpose:
    1. The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

Our purpose...simply put in the Bible is to Love God and love others.  The more we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us, the closer to the bulls eye of our purpose we get.

I love what Paul says in 2Timothy 1:8, 9. "Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,"

That's our bulls eye. No matter what goes on in our life...good or not so good...even tragic...He has called us to love Him and serve Him.

Mark Twain said this, "The two most important days of your life are the day your were born, and the day you find out why!"

We are a marvelous creation of God to fellowship with Him and serve Him. And He will help us navigate through this thing called life.

May you get closer to the bulls eye today.  ;)
