I'm discovering a new hobby. Going through old boxes or drawers to discover little treasures. Most recently I came across this $2 bill. It was a gift from my grandpa on my mom's side. This was May of 1976.  It had just been released. And as you can see he reminded me that I would never be broke if I hung on to this bill.

Even though it has never been circulated I checked its value. Just as I suspected it's still worth $2. But worth a million dollars of memories.

    Thanks Grandpa!!

When I read a poem by Benjamin Malachi Franklin at first I just glanced over it. When I read it a second time I read the spiritual depth that it had.

Go ahead and read this once...and then read it again and see what you think. This poem is called

    The Weaver

"My life is but a weaving

    Between my Lord and I

    I cannot choose the colors

    He weaves so steadily

    Oft times He weaveth sorrow

    And I in foolish pride

    Forget He sees the upper

    And I the underside

Not till the loom is silent

And the shuttles cease to fly

Will God roll back the canvas

    And explain the reason why

The dark threads are as needful

    In the Weaver's skillful hand

As the threads of gold and silver

In the pattern He has planned"

The latest scam has criminals stealing your personal information from tax preparers. Then they file a return in your name. The refund gets put in your bank account. Now here's where it gets tricky. The scammer then contacts you to say it was put in your account by mistake. They instruct you to transfer the money into a collections account which they give you. They then have the money. On top of that, it's harder for you to file a return because your social security number has already been used for the current tax year. It's complicated.

If this happens to you, the IRS says have the bank return the money to where it came from and contact their office immediately.
