Fruity Pebbles, pimiento cheese and ranch dressing?!? After hearing about Joanna Gaines' (host of HGTV's 'Fixer Upper" for those of you who've been out of the loop) pregnancy cravings, I started wondering (again) "why these things?"

According to Psychology Today, here are a few things I discovered:

    - Cravings usually begin in the first trimester and are gone by the end of the second.

    - Dairy, chocolate and fruits are most common cravings for expectant moms in the US

    - Savory and salty (pizza and pickles), commonly considered the big two, aren't that big anymore.

    - Pregnancy cravings rarely repeat themselves from child to child.

Still I ask the question: Fruity Pebbles, pimiento cheese and ranch dressing...what gives?!?
